I just entered my submission to Modern Masters of the West 2026, and I'm hoping to be a part of that esteemed group this year. This event is a Boutique Gallery Showcase and Live Demos held during Stockyards Fashion Week in Fort Worth, Texas. It brings selected artists into the heart of the legendary Fort Worth Stockyards for a unique opportunity to present original artwork, share live demonstrations, and connect with one of the most active art audiences in the region.

Artists chosen for the showcase will present three original works and have the chance to demonstrate their process in partnership with iconic Fort Worth Stockyards brands. The event also offers the opportunity to present fine art reproductions and compete for prestigious awards, making it a strong blend of exhibition, promotion, and professional visibility.

What makes this show especially appealing is the setting itself. Stockyards Fashion Week draws more than 100,000 visitors, which means the event takes place in front of a large and highly engaged audience. That kind of exposure makes it an exciting prospect for any artist working in western art or drawing from western themes.

I'm submitting five western scratchboards for consideration, and now comes the long wait. Notification won't go out until July 18, so it will be a while before I know the outcome. Fingers crossed for a showcase spot!
