First Place at the Texas City Art Festival!

I’m thrilled to share some wonderful news — I’ve just won my very first art show prize! My piece “Dust to Dust” took first place at the Texas City Art Festival, and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ll be attending the opening celebration this Saturdaynight and it still feels a bit surreal.

I have three scratchboards in this year’s show, and the winning piece is extra special to me — it’s my first ever color scratchboard. The prize is $400, which feels like such a meaningful affirmation of the new creative direction I’ve been exploring in my art.
